FAQs about Prenatal Pelvic Floor Therapy
How soon can I start pelvic floor therapy?
You can start as soon as you become pregnant! I recommend at least starting during the second trimester, if possible!
What symptoms do you typically treat prenatally?
As I mentioned, we often are educating on your changing body, the birth process and the early postpartum period so you don't have to have any specific concerns--this is what I typically refer to as birth prep! However, some symptoms that you may develop during pregnancy may include SI joint pain, low back pain, pubic symphysis pain, pelvic girdle pain.
I'm in my 3rd trimester, can I still come?
Yes! Although we'd like to see our patients earlier, I can still see you during the third trimester!
